It’s designed for performers of all levels who are interested in building their physical storytelling skills. Whether you’re preparing for an action-heavy role or simply looking to add a new skill set to your repertoire, this class will give you the foundation to execute stage combat with safety, confidence and precision.
The course will culminate with the opportunity to test for your certification through Dueling Arts International, one of the most respected organizations in the field of stage combat. This certification is a valuable credential for actors, directors, and educators, proving your proficiency in unarmed combat and opening up new performance opportunities.
Michael Dias (he/him) is a physical theatre maker of over 20 years. Having begun martial arts as a child and now holding a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo, he has over 15 years experience in teaching martial arts, and is an associate instructor with Dueling Arts International.
