Kiss & Tell
with Courtney Abbott
Saturdays, November 2 - 23 (9am-11am)
Tuition: $180
*4 sessions, 2 hours each
Do you feel like romantic roles are not for you or something that you can't audition for? Do you feel like roles with an intimacy ask are outside of your capacity? Let's see if we can build some skills to help you be confident that things are not for you when they are not, and to give you access to roles that are within your skill set and comfortability. This four-week workshop will focus on developing an understanding of each individual's own boundaries and capacity as it relates to portraying moments of intimacy in acting, and learning skills to apply to your work.
Courtney Abbott (they/she) is an actor in the midwest. The award-winning program was groundbreaking in its use of comedy and interactive education to raise awareness around consent and sexual assault prevention. They used the copious airline miles collected during this job to travel around the world. In 2018 they entered the MFA program at Ohio University where they expanded their skills of facilitation and knowledge of cultivating a culture of consent to include work as an intimacy coordinator/choreographer.
